Bobby Moore Academy

We celebrate the diversity of our community through our aspirational learning culture so that each individual can fulfil their potential.

Studying In The Sixth Form

Thank you for your interest in applying to Bobby Moore Sixth Form for the next phase of your academic journey. This is an exciting time at the Academy, as we ready ourselves to welcome our first cohort of sixth formers. Our core vales of AMBITION, ASPIRATION, COURAGE and RESPECT permeate our academy ethos, its curriculum and enrichment programme at key stage 5. The Bobby Moore Sixth Form recognises the power of transformational education and the importance of the post-16 phase of education for our students. We are keen to develop the whole individual, thereby providing academic excellence, pastoral sensitivity, leadership development opportunities with our business partners, as well bespoke career advice for your next steps beyond sixth form life.

Bobby Moore Sixth Form is unashamedly ambitious for its students. We pride ourselves on offering students access to opportunities within the classroom and the wider community, with the help of our local business partners. We encourage our students to be bold, seek out competitive advantage and lead.

We want our students to be the best they possibly can be – as young people, as students, as members of the wider community. We expect greatness from our sixth form students and to be leaders in our Academy. Every subject is expected to run an enrichment programme and all students participate in a critical thinking project in Year 12 with the option of completing the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) in Year 13.

Although not for everyone, we strongly support any pupil who has aspirations to attend Oxford or Cambridge, particularly in terms of preparation for both the admissions tests and interview process.

Courage and Respect

Our sixth formers are expected to be ambassadors and lead by example. We focus on creating an environment of kindness, respect and inclusivity, where everyone looks out for one another, to enable students to flourish personally, academically and spiritually. We enjoy admitting all types of individuals – and we strive to develop young people who are kind, confident, curious and have a love of learning for its own sake.
