Food
At Bobby Moore Academy, school meals are cooked on-site by our catering team Caterlink.
During the school day, students will have an opportunity to have a morning snack during break time at 10:40 am and a lunch meal during lunchtime at 12:40 pm.
Bobby Moore Academy is a cashless school, all students must top-up their account using the ParentPay Portal details can be found here.
Our menu has been created after extensive research into student preferences; it is also nutritious and compliant with all government guidelines.
The menu aims to offer more of what students want, including good food that can be eaten on the go as well as themed days to coincide with key dates such as Pancake Day, Burns Night, Diwali, etc. The catering service includes an offering for breakfast, mid-morning break and lunch.
School lunches have a wide and varied selection to choose from. A meal deal currently costs £2.41 and provides a nutritious and balanced main meal and dessert/drink.
Students are able to bring in a packed lunch which must be consumed in the dining area. Drinks may be brought for lunchtime consumption but they must be in an unbreakable container; glass bottles and cans must not be brought into school.
Fizzy drinks (including all types of energy drinks) and gum/sweets/chocolates are not allowed in school and will be confiscated if brought to the Academy; they prevent pupils from focusing on their learning in the way that more nutritious drinks and snacks enable.
