Parent Feedback
On this page, you will find feedback we have received at various points throughout the year. We are proud of the work we do at BMA, and value the feedback we receive from our local community and stakeholders.
Year 7 Parent Feedback
Following our new Year 7's first few days with us, we sent out a form asking for feedback on how they have settled in.
When asked "On a scale of 1 to 10, how has your child enjoyed their experience at BMA so far?", the average score was 9 out of 10, highlighting that our new scholars were enjoying their introduction to BMA.
Below you will see some of the written feedback we received:
What have they enjoyed the most?
He loves the new environment and is very comfortable already. He was happy to get into his first choice house and has so far found the teachers great.
My son has really enjoyed meeting new friends, which has helped him settle in quickly. I was initially worried because most of his friends from primary school are not attending BMA, but I am pleased to see he is building new friendships and feeling more confident about starting new school.
When asked to provide additional feedback:
We are very thankful for the care, patience, and dedication of the staff. It’s clear that you all work hard to create a safe and encouraging space for the students.
Thank you so much for all the support (Name) has received so far.
I was also very happy to see the amount of staff member dotted around the routes into school in the AM/PM.
Overall, I appreciate the efforts the school is making to support Year 7 pupils in their transition. Please continue providing clear communication to parents and ensure there are opportunities for students to feel included, confident, and supported as they settle into secondary school.
Feedback following our Open Morning on Saturday 13th September 2025
On Saturday 13th September 2025, we hosted an Open Morning for members of the local community to come and view our wonderful academy in action.
When asked, "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your experience of the Open Morning?", the average score was 9 out of 10, with all feedback stating that they would recommend viewing Bobby Moore Academy to a friend.
When asked for the highlights of the event, we received the following feedback:
The student touring us around the school was very confident. I was particularly impressed with the young Year 7 pupil in the classroom that displayed information about the Primary division of the school. The student helpers around the school spoke very positively about their peers and teachers, and came across incredibly secure and comfortable at the school. The teachers in class were also very approachable and informative. The examples of academic work laid out in the Maths classroom was a nice insight into the standard of work.Having visited a couple of other open days, this event was much calmer and organised. I think this is probably because it was on a Saturday morning rather than a weekday evening. I appreciated this very much.
Inclusion staff were great - really friendly and gave really good info. I had a sense that my son could do well at this school.
Inclusion staff were great - really friendly and gave really good info. I had a sense that my son could do well at this school. Finding out you do lots of music as well as sport.Staff were very enthusiastic about their subjects which was very positive. The kids showing people round and doing demos or helping were very polite and clearly enjoyed being there.
It was very well organised and we loved the school.
The teachers were very engaged and ready to answer all my questions. I witnessed an interaction between a teacher and a student, and was really impressed by the fact that students are allowed to challenge their teachers respectfully and that both said they appreciated each other. It was very generous to receive us with drinks and snacks and a bag containing information. There was good communication regarding the talk with the Principal. I was delighted to see that SEN students were also participating in the Open Morning. The installations looked very tidy and clean.
Before viewing your school my daughter had told me that she does not feel ready to start secondary school yet. This was while waiting outside to enter. However by the end of the tour and after the speeches she was more confident about starting secondary school. Also she was very impressed with what your school had to offer.
The communication between the teachers and the children was incredible, many thanks to everyone. My son left the school feeling confident that he wants to continue his studies exactly at this school.
The very polite and eloquent pupils. The interactive activities to engage the children. The brilliant music being played and the lovely art exhibitions.
When asked to provide additional feedback:
Thank you for a great morning which really showcased the school and its values.
It wasn't a school I was considering but I am now!
We are hoping to go here next year!!
Feedback following our Weekly Open Mornings
At Bobby Moore Academy, we regularly open our doors for members of the community and prospective parents and their children to view our wonderful academy in full flow.
This section will continue to be updated but feedback so far is below.
When asked for the highlights of the event, we received the following feedback:
The young men who took us around the school were incredibly informative. They had great knowledge of the school procedures, subjects and facilities. They were very fond of their teachers who clearly shared the same sentiments. This was evident from the proud teachers watching on in the corridors and classrooms. Our guides were confident, happy and great ambassadors for the school.
The Vice Principal was also around to answer further questions which was incredibly helpful. He clearly was very passionate about the students and his future plans to improve the school community further.Overall it was a well organised, positive experience and I have already recommended the tour to other parents!
