Primary and Secondary students have a very special experience watching professional cricket
On Friday 26th May, we took 45 students from Bobby Moore Primary and Secondary school (students from Yr 3 to Yr9) to watch the Essex vs Ireland Cricket Match at the CloudFM Essex County Cricket Ground. Not only did students get to watch and enjoy elite level cricket, they were given two very special opportunities on the day. Two secondary students rang the bell which signals the start of play just before the match and as the players entered the pitch, primary students formed the guard of honour, welcoming players onto the pitch – what a double honour! A huge thank you to Essex Cricket in the Community for facilitating these amazing opportunities for our students, they had an incredible day out.
I liked that I got to get high fives from some of the players and it’s my first time going to see cricket. I really enjoyed it and I had the best time - Kiana, Year 3
