Wim Bushell

Wim is the Deputy Chairman of Gallagher London, a global insurance company. His education at Millfield as a boarder in Walton (1970 - 1973) fuelled his passion for sports and as well as participating in a wide variety of sports (amongst which football, cricket and rugby) he gained first team colours in football. After leaving Millfield, his interest in sports did not dwindle and he continued to play for two seasons for Corinthian Casuals AFC, swapping sports afterwards to play for Richmond RFC, also captaining the infamous Richmond "Heavies". Additionally, he was captain of Lloyd's Gentlemen's Rugby XV. Wim is a keen golfer and is also a member of the MCC.

Juliet spent twenty years as a teacher and senior leader in secondary schools, where she fulfilled academic and pastoral roles including those associated with inclusion, sixth form and boarding.
Lorimer Tucker

Lorimer Tucker

Larry was born just over 2 miles away from Bobby Moore Academy and spent his entire working life in the Lloyd's Insurance market in the City of London. Educated at Forest School in Snaresbrook, he became a Partner in his firm in 1988 and a Chartered Insurer upon its launch in 1996. During his work career, he specialised in problem solving and innovation, which, before his retirement in 2015, included industry presentations and the mentoring of others.
Ashley Kinnair

Ashley Kinnair

Ashley has spent fourteen years as a teacher and Head of Department working in high achieving inner-London schools. His musical education started at St Paul's Cathedral where he served as a chorister before acquiring a music scholarship to Forest School. After graduating Ashley went on to complete his GTP at Mossbourne Community Academy.
Kirstie Kershaw

Kirstie Kershaw

Kirstie was drawn to Bobby Moore Academy by it's vision and values to empower children to become whatever their dreams desire, starting at reception and reaching beyond. Kirstie has worked at Bobby Moore Academy since 2018, beginning as a 1-1, each year moving onto a larger role, TA, HLTA and more recently as a teacher.

Some of the key attributes Kirstie brings to the table include my enthusiasm for learning and personal growth, a forward thinking, creative approach to crafting long-term relationships with children and adults alike, and a fun approach to boost pupil engagement.

Kirstie is passionate about reading, and her vivid imagination helps her visualise the books she reads.

Joha Abdulla

Joha decided to become a governor as she is keen to drive change, support in setting the strategic direction and champion diversity.

Joha currently works for HSBC as the UK Head of Secure Access, and outside of work she enjoys attending football games with her family every weekend.

Lenny joined the ASC in November 2023. He is an Insurance Consultant for several Global insurance brokers institutions and leads teams negotiating terms and insurance claims values on behalf of International Commercial customers. His passions include Photography, travel, family, reading.

Zeinab Kamal

Zeinab Kamal

Zeinab joined the ASC in January 2024. Zeinab is currently a TEFL teacher in an East London school, and has been involved in education and learning for the past 16 years, mainly as an English language teacher to non speakers. Recently Zeinab was also the Head of English at a secondary school and so understands the effort and obstacles that can develop on a socio- academic level in secondary schools.

Zeinab has an 18 year old, an 11 year old and a 4 year old and so has good experience in dealing with age groups especially in setting expectations and communicating with schools.

Zeinab is very passionate about community integration programs and has worked in refugee resettlement and interpreting for Arabic speakers within education.

Outside of work, Zeinab is an avid reader and writes creatively. Zeinab is also actively involved in charitable works and has been to a few overseas deployments to aid distribution of donations.
William Spiers

William Spiers

William joined the ASC in February 2024. He is passionate about the cause of education and feels he can offer support and challenge in a school context. Having moved to Mile End two years ago he also wanted an opportunity to provide some contribution to his local area. William currently works as a policy adviser in the Department for Education, which has provided him with good knowledge of the wider education context in Britain. William is a confident communicator with a strong understanding of the importance of equitable education. He is most passionate about travelling, taking the chance to meet people from different backgrounds across the world.
Kusba Begum

Kusba Begum

While also a teacher of Healthcare Science in a Sixth Form College, Kusba joined the ASC in July 2024.

Kusba enjoys engaging with her community and doing volunteer work to support people and organisations. Furthermore, Kusba also has an interest in charity work and helped raise funds by trekking Snowdonia in Wales.

With a passion for education, Kusba enjoys working with young people and passing knowledge onto others. Kusba also likes leading others, including other teachers and helping them to reach their goals.
